Country artist, Taylor Hughes, is not your typical pop country artist. With blues and southern rock influences, she brings a unique and sassy sound that demands attention. Native of Lexington, KY, she now resides in Spring Hill, TN. Award winning gospel singer and vocal coach, Christy Sutherland, describes Hughes' voice as rich chocolate cake with soul along with being said to be "country music's Adele." She currently studies under world renowned vocal coach, Kati Hendricks.
Hughes was in the top 5 for the "Southern Fellows Country Artist of the Year" in 2020 and 2021. Along with that, she was nominated for “emerging international artist of the year” in the UK. For five years in a row she has been nominated in the Lexington Music Awards for best female vocalist, best country artist, best singer-songwriter, and song of the year; winning in 2016, 2018 and 2019. She has opened and shared the stage with artists such as Chase Rice, Riley Green, Sam Riggs, Angaleena Presley (Pistol Annies), Striking Matches and the list continues. In the beginning of 2021, she co-headlined an acoustic tour with fellow female artist, Audra McLaughlin, from season 6 of The Voice with much success. Hughes has played several prestigious stages like Stations Inn, The Listening Room, Douglas Corner, Manchester Music Hall, The Lyric Theater just to name a few.
Hughes' live shows bring the energy, the party, and the real country music fans have been dying to hear. She currently has three singles released and available on all streaming/download platforms; her debut single "Good Taste" (also being played on iHeart Radio,) her sophomore single, "Prayin' to the Whiskey” which was nominated for 2021 international song of the year in Ireland making it to the top 10, and her latest single, "High on Something." All of her music can be heard not only in the states but have been played continuously on radio stations in the UK, Canada and Australia.
